Photo Restoration

DSRising Graphics is extremely talented at repairing and restoring photographs. Below are some examples of his work and the results side by side with the originals. Take a look at what can be accomplished with a big dose of care and knowledge.

  • Restoration saves an heirloom

    • Mr. Vath

Ted Vath in a Classic portrait that has succumbed to the effects of time

    • Mr. Vath Restored

The ravages of time removed creating a restored portrait that will last many more years.

Here is a perfect example of what can be accomplished with a lot of care and a practiced eye. A family keepsake is returned to it original splendor ready to be printed and re-instated to a place of honor for another couple of generations to enjoy.

    • Faded original

A memory that is slowly fading away and may well become  an image that you can no longer recognise .

    • restored copy

Here the same image revitalized and ready to take it's place back in the family album.

Heat, air and time attack the pigment in photographs and there is very little that you can do to stop the damage. Above is a perfect example of what the effects look like on a treasured memory. On the right you will see how it can be repaired and restored to its former glory.

  • Color photo's too

    • Damaged photo

A picture that has been exposed to lots of viewing and is starting to break down

    • Repaired photo

      The damage removed

Color phots are more fragile than black and white because the pigment used in color processes breaks down much faster. However they can be repaired as well.
